My Review on the movie 2 states.

Hi. My name is Rabhadiya Vinod and I am going to tell something about the movie 2 states.

The story of this movie is very simple one. It is a love story which based on the Chetan Bhagat’s novel. As we know that Indian cinema has nothing new to show the people.” Wahi purani love stories , pehle parents ka nahi man na or story ke end me aram se shadi”.But it is good movie because there are many things which we can see now a days in our families. This movie shows us that fall in love is very easy but to get marry to someone is hard, very hard in our country, India because the first question of Indian family is that from which community he/she belongs to? Is our culture and their culture same one? Its shows the conflict between two community /2states (Punjabi Family and Tamil Family). How the love and furthermore their dreams of marriage becomes problematic in our society which is shown through this movie. So I would like to tell few importance things about this story.

It is very simple story as Krish (Arjun Kapoor) belongs to Punjabi family and Anannya(Alia Bhatt) belongs to Tamil family and both are  studying at IIM collage at Ahmedabad. There is one incidence when both they go outside to take lunch at that time Anannya asks for Bier and  krish says  “NO” he adds that Gujarat is Gandhi’s birthplace and she just replies “ Gandhiji bier ke against the”.Krish wants to be a writer and wants to write simple stories one dialog he says “ story me hero ho ya na ho bas story hero honi chahiye”.The things are good as they really are but the problem start when they fall in love and after completing their study they go their hometown.
Then both tell the story of their love to their parents but they are against them because they think that caste, community and culture are difference forming each other’s family. And one thing that krish always behaves very cruelly with his father and one scene we can see that he slaps his father. I believe that his father’s behaviour toward them is very rude but it’s not meant that he slaps his father. His father loves him but he never tries to show his love. His father’s (Ronit Roy)one dialog is “Jis din tere bachhe tuje se battamizi krege, umeed karta hu k tu smaj sakega k itne chalo se muj par kya bit raji hogi” this line shows his father really loves him.
Then we can see the problems and quarrels of both the family means starting of “ sas aur bahu ke zagde, sas bhu aur sajish or wahi   family drama”. The ways of their marriage become now problematic for both Krish and Anannya. We  generally believe that the big issue of caste, community and culture are only seen in villages and rural or uneducated people but we can see that this issue of caste, community and culture for marriage are found in big cities and in educated peoples also. We always speak that our India is great but in the matter of community caste we are totally behind from other countries. So after much frustration, despair and twists they finally get married with the help of Krish’s father at last and our Indian Bollywood movie remains successful only when it has happy ending.

But form this movie I have many questions which arise in my mind that why have first question in our mind that from which caste you belong to? In the matter of marriage the first question ask by family members beta which caste you belong to?” Why we not give importance to personality rather than caste or community? Why we think that our culture is different from other states or other community’s culture? Why we not throw out such rigidity form our society and our mind ?   In this movie also when Krish tells his mother that Anannay is very much successful in marketing, honest and good girl at that time her mother replies “ Wo Punjabi to nahi hena ? We can see that his mother also gives importance to community rather than personality or nature. So conflict between the two communities or between the 2 states we can see in this movie.
